What does EChOSOPHIA mean?


The Wisdom of Deep Ecology

  • From ancient Greek:
    - ECO (οἶκος) = our common Home
    -         SOPHIA (Σοφíα) = Wisdom
    - and the "    h" added to represent Humanity, Harmony, Hope... Echo: resonance, welcoming.

  • Ecosophy:
    is a current of Deep Ecology, the Ethics of Environment. In a         Holistic approach, Ecosophy includes:
    - Ecology of         Nature,
    -         Social ecology,
    - eco-    psychology.


Ecology and Economy, two notions often opposed, have the same root "Eco" (home)...

. For 16 years, Amélie has worked to improve environmental practices in companies, through the international deployment of commitments and objective plans, for the preservation of natural resources.

She coordinated Veolia's commitment for the COP21 Paris Agreement in 2015, developed the group's positions on climate change and oceans plastic pollution;  trained teams in sustainability, CO2 footprint and circular economy.

. She is the author of the book "Keys for Coaching" published at the age of 23 (Maxima, 2004 -in French), and co-author of the circular economy guide "Unlocking more value with fewer resources" (WBCSD, 2016).

. Her passion, for 20 years, has also been people and personal development, taking an Inner Ecology approach. She is a personal and professional Coach (Erickson Coaching International. Embodied Systemic Coaching), a Sophrologist (French Superior School of Sophrology, EFSS) and an Energetic therapist; also trained in Authentic Leadership and Collective Intelligence.

. She is a 2018 recipient of the Leading Women Award -Next Gen. from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. 


. She is also a Board Member of Les Leaders Eclairés (Enlightened Leaders) and
La Fabrique Ecologique Think-tank,
a Mentor at the "Inspired Women Lead " Program, and a contributor to the "Regenerative Alliance" .
